How to Earn Money at Home (Kids and Teens)
Want to make a lot of money by just helping at home? Here's how!
Steps
- Draw up a list of chores needing done in your house, the more the better!Ex: Wash Dishes, Do Laundry, Set Table, Dust, Vacuum, Organize Room, etc.
- Next, ask your parents if instead of a weekly/monthly allowance, you could earn money proportionate to how much you work; e.g. lots of work=lots of money.
- If this is okay, then show them the list of chores you made and agree on prices for each.
- Now comes the hard work. Bear in mind, if you don't do any work, you will not get any money.
- When you've finished a job, get your parents to check it off the list and then add up how much you're due at the end of the week.
Tips
- Be reasonable with the pricing, your parents aren't going to pay you loads just for washing their car.
- Another option is to babysit, charge $25 a day (normal daycare rate) therefore you will have $125 a week for babysitting one kid. If you have two kids then maybe $30-35 a day. Talk to some people and find out who need a babysitter
- Check behind cushions for money.
